Elaine was a delightful host, I appreciated her summary of dinner options in town, and a few things to look at, as the info centre was closed when I arrived.

We stayed one night at the Golden Heritage on our way from NSW to Ballarat and it was great for our needs. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the air con was on when we arrived so the room was nice and cool. The spa was great for my kids and the single beds were great for them in a separate room. Flexibility regarding breakfast options were great and my kids also enjoyed the small pool as it was very hot when we were there. Location was fairly convenient, a short drive into town.
