I really like this place. The female owner has an inquisitive mind, a warm personality, and a kind heart. Her English is good enough to communicate and ask for help. The sauna and the private onsen in the room are top-notch. I did not check the public onsen with natural hot spring, but heard it's amazing too. I booked the 5th floor with an ocean view, and the private onsen experience during starry night and the set rise were indeed amazing! The hotel itself is located in a remote little cute fish town called osatsucho, where you can find fishmen and women harvesting and selling the Ise lobsters in the morning by the port. It was a very unique and interesting experience to stay in that little town for two days during the winter when it was not crowded at all. The nearest convenience store is 10 miles away. It was a very natural, grounding, even retreat-like experience to me, and it was drastically different from my experience in Tokyo, Nayoga, or Osaka. I did spot a few demolished houses with broken windows in the town, not sure if it's because of COVID or during the winter when there were fewer tourists. The big plus is the Shinmei shrine next door to the hotel, which is a very calming and spiritual place to visit and stay for a bit too.
Resort Hills Toyohama Soranokaze provides beachfront accommodations in Toba. Each accommodation at the 3-star ryokan has sea views, and guests can enjoy access to a sauna and a hot spring bath.

The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. I wanted to go to the Yokohama Observatory (which is expensive and hard to reach by public transpo), but they offered a shuttle ride to a train station, and also told me about Shima City tourism’s taxi promo. Very helpful!
Other than that, the room was bigger than expected. It had a small Japanese garden, which was a good touch. They also had a lot of fun facilities in the lobby.
Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as "onsen," these hotels offer a relaxing soak in therapeutic, geothermal waters. Traditionally onsens were located outdoors, but a number of hotels now offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with "kuroyu" black water famous for its positive effects on skin.

The hotel is located in the beautifully well maintained national park with golf course, sunset beach, yoga terrace etc. The hot spring spa, friendly staff, lots of marine sports activities, spacious and clean room, delicious Japanese breakfast. Nice amenities and they even provided bug spray etc., in the room
The room was decent and fairly big. Available onsen (albeit nothing special), and free parking on site. Multiple restaurants in the immediate vicinity (which is useful, since the on-site hotel restaurant has apparently been closed for some time).
Breakfast was the best, good variety and nutritious with both protein and vegetables. Loved the onsen too! High quality luxurious property with consistent friendly service from all staff.
Small details like smooth check-in, onsen facilities, postal service, shuttle bus added to the extra touch.
Both breakfast and dinner each day were truly lovely. It included
interesting local seafood and it was a unique experience for us. The waterfront setting was stunning…being able to walk out on a pontoon over the water right off your bedroom was something you don t see every day. The onsen had a real focus on timber and it was well worth partaking in. Overall our hosts looked after us so well and we were really sad to have to leave.
