We booked the room with a sea view and got a good view of the Itsukushima Jinja torii on Miyajima. The room was well equipped and had yukata and other necessities provided for a great onsen experience. The public baths were good, and we also booked the private onsen for 45 minutes in the evening and got to enjoy complete privacy and comfort and a magnificent full moon over Miyajima while soaking in the natural spring water - probably the best onsen experience we've had in Japan so far! The traditional Japanese dinner was a superb nine-course affair and although breakfast was a buffet style, we still got all the traditional Japanese dishes as well. The hotel lobby, lounge, terrace and other public areas were nicely designed and all the staff were very helpful.

The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, with great suggestions for dinner and tourism!
Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as "onsen," these hotels offer a relaxing soak in therapeutic, geothermal waters. Traditionally onsens were located outdoors, but a number of hotels now offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with "kuroyu" black water famous for its positive effects on skin.
The service at Jukeiso is unbelievable. People are so nice and you feel very welcome and special.
Jukeiso is a tradition Japanese ryokan and while you don’t have the comfort of a western bed, room was very spacious with an incredible view. Staff was unbelievably nice and you can enjoy a private onsen and incredible Japanese meals.
Beautiful view of the shrine from this quiet ryokan up and away from the tourist commotion. Very helpful staff and amazing food. Appreciated the private onsen. Very clear directions and ideas from staff and help with transporting luggage. Would definitely come back!
They have a private Onsen (public bath), which is just for the accommodation guests. Classic Ryokan accommodation, very cute and nice 😍 Comfortable, warm and lovely.
Staff extremely nice, friendly and helpful ☺️
It's close to the ferry station.
Amazing ryokan with a stunning view. We could see the gate and the temple from both our room and during dinner/breakfast. The rooms are nice, big, and cozy. The meals are just incredible. We were really full after the dinner (about 10 courses). The staff was kind and helpful. They were able to prepare vegan meals for one of us. Also, they brought our luggage directly to the ferry station (they also have a pick-up service, if needed). The private onsen is amazing. I hope to come back one day!
We were delighted by our room and the whole ryokan. It had real authentic Japanese feel to it. The view from the room was magnificent, we were looking right at the torii gate. The dinner course was superb and very diverse. We aslo enjoyed the private onsen.
This charming ryokan style hotel was like stepping back in time. Like others have mentioned, the hotel is dated, but it is well maintained and very clean. The view from the rooms out to the sea is lovely and futon beds very comfortable. The food was excellent and service exceptional. We enjoyed using the onsen facilities and rocking round in our yakuta. The shuttle service from the port was also very handy. We had a memorable stay and loved our time on Miyajima.
host had a very nice vibe and was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautiful and very clean. private onsen was a great addition there was a cat! one of the best places we have stayed while in a Japan.
Classic traditional ryokan (Japanese B&B) with an onsen (hot spring).
Beautiful place.
Immaculate service.
I recommend taking half board to enjoy a fantastic elaborated dinner served in the room.
The onsen facilities are great and there’s also table-tennis and karaoke 🎤
