Raicho Onsen Inn is amazing. I will come back if I can for sure. The staff is lovely. The private onsens are amazing. We went on a snowshoe tour and it was seriously the best thing we have done in Japan. There is a communal kitchen, which was really great, and spaces to relax and work. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Incredible natural mineral onsens which you could enjoy in private. Location is very peaceful and scenic surrounded by ski hills if you visit during the season. The family who owns and runs the B&B are some of the kindest people we have met during our entire trip in Japan and are amazing cooks who were able to accommodate our vegan diet with incredible Japanese style breakfasts and dinners which were all delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice peaceful stay, and hope to return someday.

The staff are really warm and genuine. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The guesthouse is also eco conscious and take steps to protect the environment. It’s a nature sensitive stay. The surroundings are beautiful. And my rooms view was lovely. The outdoor hotspring after a cold day of snowboarding was amazing!!

The place is amazing, great onsen experience, great and fruitful dinner as well as good breakfast with many options. The only downside is that the hotel is far from the station so they could supply more hours for the free shuttle but overall a great hotel.

Everything exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a traditional ryokan and this was it. The room was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the onsen was gorgeous. We loved our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating and were great at communicating with us in our language. The meals were very traditional and it was really fun trying all the different foods. We would return any time.
Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as "onsen," these hotels offer a relaxing soak in therapeutic, geothermal waters. Traditionally onsens were located outdoors, but a number of hotels now offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with "kuroyu" black water famous for its positive effects on skin.

The room is modern and very clean with combination of beds on tatami mat (comfort and traditional feel). The 10th floor outdoor onsen with a cold breeze and hot soak is a nice experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady who also speaks good English.
The bathroom was very nice and we enjoyed the private onsen bathing facilities. The mattresses were comfortable and the breakfast buffet had many delicious options. There were plenty of parking spaces.
Breakfast and dinner were very good.

It is a clean and practical ryokan with an authentic Japanese feel to it!
The onsen is great to use because you may reserve it as a private onsen. Great for families like us.
The owner doesn’t speak English too well but is super nice and as always you will get around with hands and feet.
Hotel staff Tomoko was very pro-active in communications soon after I had made my room reservation. She was helpful with my request of a vegan diet even though the ryokan does not usually provide vegan meals.
Greatly appreciated. Thank you!
She was there when we checked-in too and she spoke perfect English, which was very helpful.
Outdoor onsen was really blissful!
