Breakfast and dinner were good although the dinner menu was limited. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds (with pool) were beautiful, and the distant views were very scenic. We noticed couples coming to this location to have wedding photos taken due to the attractiveness of the grounds.

Waking up to such beauty every day was a blessing I didn’t know I needed. The outdoor shower was a highlight, offering a unique and invigorating experience. Showering while gazing at the mountains was an absolute delight and something I looked forward to each day. It’s these thoughtful touches that truly make a stay unforgettable. The villa’s cleanliness was impeccable, and the hosts’ suggestions for activities helped me explore Kandy in ways I hadn’t imagined. The value for the quality of service and experience provided is exceptional, making every penny spent well worth it. While the evening dining options nearby were somewhat limited, it was a small trade-off for the peace and beauty the location offered. This minor aspect could not tarnish the overall brilliance of my stay. To anyone looking for a serene getaway with outstanding hospitality and natural beauty, this villa in Kandy is a perfect choice. Located in Kandy, Mountbatten Bungalow- Thema Collection - Kandy welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and a spacious sun terrace. We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect, in the hills with exceptional views but only a 10-15 minute tuk tuk ride from Kandy city. The food was exceptional, with breakfast served outside in the garden and dinner inside the old manor. The service is like no other. The best I have ever experienced. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious with all the amenities. We loved spending time in the infinity pool with the most magnificent views over the hills including the most beautiful gardens and birds. However, what made this place so special were the staff. Everyone (especially Chula) were so warm, welcoming and had the biggest genuine smiles on their faces. Nothing was too much for them, including arranging drivers, day tours and delivering coconuts after us spotting locals climbing coconut trees. Chamilla the driver took us on an amazing tour which included the botanical gardens, gem factory, dance show and to a dosa place in the city (Balaji Dosai - highly recommend). We had the best time and couldn’t recommend this place enough.
