This was arranged under a shady 'Arjun Tree' (Kumbuk in Sinhala) in the charming compound filled with bird calls, butterflies right in front of the room. It was so appealing, appetizing, delicious and wholesome. The hospitality of the owners of the Golden Gate Ceylon was great indeed. The place is so quiet, secure and peaceful. You will really feel the tranquil.

We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely recommend staying here. The place is a bit outside of the city and surrounded by rice fields, so it’s super beautiful and peaceful. Pick-Me worked great here and it was cheap to get to the city center, so you don’t have to worry about that. Ashan is such a kind host and a great cook as well. The Sri Lankan breakfast (curry and rice) was one of the best meals we had so far. The room is big and clean and the bed was super comfy. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Anuradhapura.

The Cozy Cottage is in walking distance to the bus junction which is useful for trips to the places nearby (e.g. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya). The room was clean, spatious, had a fan and a mosquito net. Plug points were near the bed. The hosts were very helpful and kind. They made sure that everything was to our convenience. The local dinner they served is was excellent. Even on short notice they prepared a delicious meal. For our day trips they gave us breakfast to go - we appreciated it very much!
