Part of the Greater Kruger area, Kapama River Lodge is situated in the expansive 15 000 hectare Kapama Private Game Reserve. Muhteşem bir deneyimdi. Safari rehberleri inanılmaz ve çok profesyoneldi. Hoedspruit'te, 9500 hektarlık el değmemiş Afrika çalısı üzerinde yer alan Karongwe Portfolio - Kuname Lodge, lüks ve seçkin konaklama birimleriyle hizmet vermektedir. Great honeymoon experience at Kuname! We had a lovely stay at this amazing place! Staff made us feel at home, room was very comfortable, food was good and everything went very well. To those interested in the safari part (it is not 100% clear when checking the page): - This is a Reserve that is not in Kruger. It's in an adjacent private reserve with no access to Kruger. They have their own animals and we were able to see most of the ones we wanted. They run 2 drives each day - one early in the morning for sunrise and one in the afternoon around sunset time. In the in between, you go back to the lodge, have a nice breakfast and lunch, and just relax. It's an amazing time and perfect to be in nature. You'll see plenty of animals, but it's a different trip than Kruger. During the drives, they'll serve you a few snacks and a drink. If it's your first time doing a Safari, consider if you'd prefer a more intimate, better quality version where you'll see all the interesting animals but in (very) small quantities (this option), OR if you prefer a more crowded, full of tourists, paved roads and road signs, but with huge, huge amounts and much more frequent sights of animals (Kruger).

My fiancée and I had 3 spectacular days at Muweti Lodge! Mike, Laura, Neil and staff are extraordinary people! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, we felt as if we were at home or visiting our parents' house because the reception and care they showed us were exceptional! They truly care about each guest's well-being and how everyone is feeling. We have dietary restrictions. Every meal was served considering our restrictions. Regarding the lodge, the experience of being immersed in the savanna is indescribable! The room is very comfortable and spacious, with a comfy bed, a very nice bathroom, and a balcony with an amazing view. You can see some many animals from within the property! They provide game drives twice a day, and it was incredible. We saw many animals! On the game drives their focus is always on providing the best experience for the guests! The meals were very good and diverse! Every night a campfire was lit and all people at place had a good moments! We hope to return to Muweti soon! We are already recommending the place to everyone who asks us about our experiences in South Africa!

Everything was exceptional - each member of the family was cared for whether relaxing, on safari, dining - across ages 8 to 80. The park also allows access to so much wildlife, with deeply capable trackers and guides.

Pondoro is set on the banks of the Olifants River inside the 50 000 ha Balule Private Game Reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park (Game drive traverse 30 000 acres). We did A LOT of research on where to stay for our visit to Kruger and it can get quite overwhelming with so many options. What I will say is just book Pondoro, it was EXCEPTIONAL from start to finish. It is no exaggeration to say I actually cried a bit when I left it had been THAT special. The food and drink is incredible quality from breakfast through to dinner and all of the staff (from the management through to the cleaners) were welcoming, warm and went above and beyond on everything. We stayed 3 nights (which was the perfect amount of time) and they add in some surprises which I won’t spoil on here. There is an option to do a "romantic picnic" lunch in the hide overlooking the waterhole. This was the most incredible experience- not least because my partner proposed! The game drives are the reason you go to Kruger and these could not have been better at Pondoro. You get two drives a day of ~3 hours which FLY by. The drivers and spotters are incredibly talented, experienced and hugely respectful of the wildlife. We saw all of the big five and some hugely exciting encounters- thank you Anton and Sam (the leopard whisperer)!. I would advise looking at their brilliant instagram to see a snapshot for yourself. What really stands this place apart from other safaris is the privacy- as it's on an open (unfenced), but private, reserve there were at most 2 other cars with us when seeing an animal, but often on a drive we would not see another car. The room was fantastic with a lovely bath inside and a stone bath outside that overlooked the river. Having a jacuzzi with a glass of bubbles while watching elephants and hippos in the river was quite the experience! The bed was huge and very comfortable surrounded by a mosquito net meaning I didn’t get bitten once while there.
