Beautiful chalet with a complementary private spa and horse riding. Very clean, which it's very important to me! Good complementary breakfast. I loved the juices and fruits the most but everything was good. Staff is very attentive to your needs. Keep in mind that all the complementary services need to be booked in advance to make the most out of your time there!

Located among breath-taking views of the Peruvian Amazon, Bosque Guardian Lodge is only 40 minutes away from the city of Tarapoto’s airport, in San Martin Region. The lodge was very secluded and perfect for being in nature and relaxing. The view from the Mountain View lodge was stunning. The bed was very comfortable. The room had everything we needed. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. We really enjoyed the activities. We would absolutely recommend this lodge for some peaceful time in nature.

It was stunningly beautiful. Had great access to the river and a charming town, architecture was harmonious with nature, great food, a nice place to lounge and súper services like yoga and massages.

Set in Tarapoto, Huingos Eco Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and mountain views. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. There was a lot to like about this place. Always a supply of purified water; quiet accommodations; large room; little details like hangers for your clothes; a variable breakfast (not the same thing morning after morning); clean grounds, chair to sit in outside or a hammock; river access; could walk to town if desired; some restaurants offered delivery service (limited, but still, you had a choice.) Always a delicious b'fast - fresh juice, hot coffee, bread, peanut butter, jam/honey, butter, and a variety of main dishes. I often made a peanut butter/jam sandwich and took it with me for lunch. I was there a full week and enjoyed Huingos very much. I'd definitely book there again. The other thing worth mentioning is that I had asked to be picked up at the airport and was told that someone would be there with a sign with my name on it. And THEY WERE. This service was included by Huingos and for a single woman, non-Spanish speaking, this was REALLY appreciated.

Featuring an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Pumarinri Amazon Lodge offers accommodations in Chazuta, in front of Huallaga River. As far as jungle stays go this was unreal! The hotel is outstanding! The location is so beautiful, and the lodges are all so nice. Keep the doors shut to keep the bugs out. Nice to sit on the balcony, watching the river and the cloud forests was magical. The pool was also great! Food was possibly some of the best we ate our entire trip. We were not expecting the food to be SO GOOD! Yes, there are bugs - as someone from the UK this was a hilarious experience as I have never seen crickets and grasshoppers this size before so kept the staff entertained when I would scream at them landing on me :) But this was one of the highlights of the trip. We did a river tour - the guides speak mainly Spanish, but you can still get the jist even if your Spanish is extremely basic (like ours). We also had a translator who was volunteering at the hotel who came along so that was helpful! We saw a sloth on the boat trip, that was really special. Lots of birds and saw some tiny monkeys too.

Featuring river views, Villa Sebastiana Bungalows in Tarapoto features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. This is a private residency that was decided to be rented as a hotel, and you can feel it right away. The service is not smooth. Cleaning is not ok, no hot water, bath smelled from the first day, the breakfast was two eggs, one piece of bread, and some tiny pieces of fruits, which is ok, but definitely not the level of "lux bungalow". The enterence is "private" , meaning you arrive at the closed gate and have to call a manager, but the connection is off at that place so we had to come back to the main road to catch a connection. Then once you are at the property you are totally dependable on the manager. Whatever you want - just text him. But the internet is very bad and often off. The guy doesnt always checking the phone, as the proverb goes the first day the guest is a gold, but the last day they are a trash. The same is here! The territory is nice. That is it. As a traveller with an experience I can say that this place has a lot to improve and the manager is a young guy who is smiling into your face all the time but has soemthing else in his mind.
