I've rated this lodge a 10 not because it is perfect but because its positives so far outweigh the negatives. The setting is simply magnificent, stupendous, gorgeous... add as many superlatives as you like, you still can't do it justice. Then on top of that the staff is very friendly and helpful; the breakfast spread is delicious and generous; and the bed was Goldilocks perfect - neither too hard nor too soft. And we were delighted to learn that they even offer room service from the tea room.

The cabin was so lovely! My sister and I stayed for a few days in December, and it was so relaxing. The bedrooms were quiet and spacious, and the kitchen and living area were perfect. We loved the views and the easy walk to the center of San Martin. Michaela with the administration office communicated quickly via WhatsApp and showed us how to open the gate and get our keys via video since we arrived later than planned. This place is a great value!

An outdoor swimming pool with a deck and views of the surrounding forest can be enjoyed just a 5-minute drive from Lacar Lake. Guests can enjoy spa facilities and Wi-Fi is free.

Big clean room. Our room could sleep four but we were only two. Good kitchen and utensils for cooking. It had a pool and hot tub but they were not in use when we were there, maybe because it was a bit early season. Owner was very nice and helpful. A short bit away from city center but we had a car. Maybe an easy 1/2 walk to town center. Nice big yard with bar-b-ques. great for kids and families. Off street parking. Comfortable bed.
