Gavin’s Beach Bach was quiet, so comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the decor and the very comfy bed. The recommendations list was so handy and we loved the pizzas we bought and ate on the deck as the sun set.

The houses are nicely arranged in a blooming garden in a way that you have privacy and don't really see the neighbouring houses. The houses are really spacious and well equiped. The location is top, you can reach the beach by foot. Especially recommandable is the Church restaurant. Make sure to book a table in advance as it is very popular also with locals.

Location, hosts were amazing, so welcoming and easy going, could not fault the place. Absolutely spotless, beautiful breakfast included in a very reasonable price per stay. Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much.

The driveway leads you to the most outstanding views and your not walking up it, your driving. This place is 12 out of 10 👌

The beach is 5 minutes walk away and the walkway to Cathedral Cove literally passes outside the doorstep. The place including the beautiful gardens was very peaceful. The room was basic but functional. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The price was very affordable. Parking in the premises was free. Very nice wooden room with super comfortable bed and bed linen, clean shared bathroom, spacious and welcoming shared kitchen and living room. Very convenient parking right in front of the room. Possibility to do laundry but you’ll need NDZ cash. The staff is really nice and helpful too. I loved the birds in the morning! Will stay here again next time!

We stayed here for 2 nights, one day doing the Cathdral Cove walk, the other day taking the Hahei Explorer boat tour. We also had time for a bath at Hot Water Beach, going to Te Pare point at sunset, taking a ferry to Whitianga for lunch, and driving to Shakespeare Cliff Lookout for the view and a little bit history.
