Billions of visitors wearing tacky costumes (It is free some day or some time for people wearing hanbok, which is normally so beautiful). Should come back when it is -20 degrees C so it might be less crowded. Did it with a guide, Joy, who was nice and informative.

Fabulous - recommend you get there by 9am. Free to get in for over 65's but cheap anyway. Changing of the guard at 10am but you can easily walk around the grounds of the Palace on your own before then.

Large place but take up the opportunity to hire the Korean clothing - Hanbok. I did it at another location and just loved walking around in it. Free entry to the palaces if you do wear it. Much cheaper to hire outside of the palaces, especially at the Bukchon Hanok Village. Locals were coming up to us, to help me rety the ribbons etc, so it was very nice.

Had multiple rude encounters with the staff.

Had multiple rude encounters with the staff. They were rude to me in English and to my friend in Korean. It ruined the feeling of our whole outing. I don't care to return. My tip is to be more kind to guests.

The location is perfect, it is located between metro stations Euljiro 3 (sam)-ga and Chungmuro Station, which are a few minutes walk away; you can easily reach Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, DDP, Gwangjang Market, Myeongdong Street, Seoul Station and Daiso 12 Floor Bld... There is a market and a restaurant on the ground floor of the building, there is also a Wowpass machine in the building where you can top up your Wowpass card... It's worth staying here, and you'll see for yourself.

My family had a memorable stay at the hanok, especially during the last night when it snowed. Situated at a prime location, it is walking distance to Gyeongbokgung Palace and there are many traditional Korean restaurants nearby. There are many nostalgic games inside and outside the hanok which my whole family had lots of fun. Overall, the stay was a memorable one and highly recommended for those who want.to experience staying at Korean traditional house.

Everything about this stay was wonderful! The location is the perfect combination of super close to many places including Insadong, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Gyeongbokgung Palace, but is also tucked away on a quiet, tiny side street. And the hanok style home surround an enclosed courtyard made it feel so special every time we can “home.”
