A fine example of medieval Irish castle, though in ruins.
A fine example of medieval Irish castle, though in ruins. The chapel is especially worth a look. And the Sheela-na-gig is located on the corner of the outside wall of the old rectory, which is now the museum. You have to look over the retaining wall to one side of the rectory to see it.

Seems cliche to recommend a "tourist attraction", but this is truly an experience. Living history from a thousand years ago and imagining life at that time is truly fascinating. And seeing the Ireland countryside on the journey is a bonus.

The location of this B&B is a perfect location for everything especially the Rock of Cashel. Mary and John made us feel at home especially after a long journey. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. The full Irish breakfast was absolutely delicious in a gorgeous dining room.
Everything! Beautiful Band B just down the block from the Main Street and Rock of Cashel. John and Mary are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Would love to come back if I’m ever in Ireland again. Highly recommend!
Absolutely the BEST lodging of our entire Ireland vacation! Patrick, the host, is engaging, entertaining, and so very helpful. He helped us navigate to Killarney using public transportation, not an easy feat for us ! Wonderful location with a view of the Rock of Cashel. Beautiful room, upgraded bath, very clean. Relaxing and comfortable.
Located near downtown Cashel which is a lovely and quiet little town, a short walk from Rock of Cashel. Grounds are spacious and beautiful--wish we had more time to hang out. Lounge stocked with coffee/tea and snacks by owner was a nice touch. Feels more like a hotel than a B&B-both room and bathroom were huge!
This was our first stop in Ireland, and it was a great way to start the trip. Lovely area -- right near the Rock of Cashel and the heart of town. And Patrick was both helpful and hilarious.
- heart of the little town
-clean grounds and property
-helpful instructions and responses to my questions
-check in staff and restaurant wait staff very friendly and helpful
-comfy bed
-view from our room window of sunset and Rock of Cashel
-delicious restaurant at hotel
-seems historic spot
-updated bathroom (which doesn’t match room)
-old windows
Location in Cashel was great. We were in the middle of the town and it is a nice, short walk to the Rock of Cashel. Parking in the area is readily available and either free or inexpensive. The apartment itself is large and spacious. Kevin was helpful and responsive.
The apartment was really nice, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect - just a short walk to the Rock of Cashel and a stone’s throw from great restaurants. Kevin was also super friendly and helpful - and he made us some great cocktails!
Friendly proprietors, lovely property just a stone's throw from Rock of Cashel. Beautiful country road just a short walk into town. Wonderful breakfast (our favorite in Ireland), too!
Spacious apartment with living room, bedroom and bathroom. Every detail well thought of. 5 min drive to Rock of Cashel. The owner is very nice and the whole atmosphere is very hospitable.
