Booked this as a last minute overnight trip away and was unsure what to expect. The drive up to the main house was beautiful with the property set within stunning grounds. The features within the building were remarkable and we both admired them.
We were welcomed at reception by a gentleman who offered to book our evening meal within the restaurant and also made us aware of the spa facilities on site. We made use of both the gym and spa areas. Both were great, once one area got a little busy there were different relaxation rooms that you could make use of.
We stayed in the Paton suite which was out of this world. The bathroom was a delight with its free standing bath, chaise lounge and own private balcony. The room was cleaned to a high standard as was the rest of the public areas.
We enjoyed our evening meal which was reasonably priced alongside drinks.

With picturesque views over the River Forth, the family-run Richmond Park Hotel is situated within its own grounds and is just 10 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh Airport.
Lovely room with great view and excellent restaurant
Parking was no problem as there is plenty of it right out front of the hotel. The room was great with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The bed was really comfortable. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the prices are reasonable. We liked the location of the hotel in Falkirk. Easy access for the Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies, you can also walk to the train station as we did, we took the train to both Glasgow and Edinburgh for day trips.
We stayed here for the Edinburgh festival taking the train in and out. The station is nearby and this worked well although the trains are very full for the festival. We did the Falkirk park run which is about 1 mile from the apartment. Walked along the canal from the station to Falkirk wheel
Lovely family run hotel where the staff couldn’t do enough to help. Kitchen facilities available to make your own meals if you wanted. We had a power cut the morning after our stay and the girl on reception came round and offered to order us all in some coffee and cakes. Ideal base to visit the Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. Would definitely stay here again.
Apartment was very comfortable for our little families short stay. It is ideal for couple, but folding extra bed allowed to accommodate our 8 years old. Kitchen is small but fully equipped down to coffee machine which you normally don't expect to see in rental apartments. Location - ok, Falkirk is not Glasgow or Edinburgh, but either is less than hours drive away. And there are two of very famous Scottish attractions - The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel.
This self-contained apartment is in a great location to visit The Falkirk Wheel & The Kelpies, as well as being close to Falkirk centre and there being two supermarkets within easy walking distance (Morrisons & Tesco).
Parking is secure and excellent.
The hosts live in the adjoining property, so are easy to speak to if you need anything.
The welcome pack, which included milk and fresh orange juice, was very welcome.
We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
Top of the list is the excellent service provided by Caroline and Joanne. They are a real asset to the hotel and showed a genuine enthusiasm to provide customer satisfaction. Even arranging early access to dining room for breakfast as we had an early morning flight. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We chose it because of the close proximity to the Falkirk Wheel, The Kelpies and the airport. The added bonus was a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel with good reasonably priced food.
Great location for visiting The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. Comfortable hotel with a great pool. The room was a decent size and it was great to have an extra bed and still have a separate sofa to use. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was plenty of choice at the continental buffet too.
