Beautiful location within walking distance of train station if you don't mind pulling your luggage or back pack. Worth the walk. Maybe a 10-15 min brisk walk along the Ness River.

We were in the Lovat suite, which is on the front of the house with a garden view. Very large with a king-sized canopy bed and a nice bathroom. Wonderfully creaky floors, which is just right for a very old house. We loved relaxing in the drawing room by the wood fire. The staff were all fantastic. The breakfasts were made to order and delicious. The grounds are maintained beautifully, and the location is great - only 10 minutes to Inverness. The water view is so lovely and the whole thing is perfectly romantic.

Loved everything! We picked the Lodge for celebrating our 40th Anniversary. The Lodge was an incredible facility. The attentive treatment we received from Gabriel and his staff was exception. We also received helpful suggestions on transportation to the Lodge and recommendations and arrangements for an anniversary restaurant.

Amazing experience brought to life by the enthusiasm of the tour guide who showed us around. My solo wander across the battlefield later, added to the atmosphere understanding of the sheer scale of the site and awful conditions the men had to try to fight in. The exhibits in the museum added greatly to the whole experience. Also, heartily recommend visiting Clava Cairns, just 1.5 miles from Culloden.

Great museum layout and it was very moving to walk the battlefield after learning about what led to the battle there.
They also have a fabulous cafeteria with hot items to stay and enjoy, or quick takeaway items. We loved the coronation sandwich!

Quite awe inspiring that such a large battle happened over a small area.
There are some remnants of the past on the site and quite a good route for hiking around the site well documented

Very moving and very sad what transpired here.
Very moving and very sad what transpired here. The theater in the round, of the battle, will have you crying from the moment it starts to the sad finish. To cheer you up afterward, go to the Carins and Standing Stones, just down the road from Culloden.

Beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood. Easy, short walk to downtown. Great breakfast was included. Host family could not be nicer. They even picked me up when I got a bit turned around walking there from the train station! Inverness is a lovely city, very close to the Culloden Battlefield, the terrible aftermath of which is why so many Scots left Scotland for America, N. Ireland, etc. Well worth visiting!
Private and quiet stand alone guest house. Ample room for your suitcases, super comfy bed. Very clean; fantastic shower. Very close to the Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre. Excellent food recommendations.
The house was very comfortable and clean! My spouse worked remotely for part of the time and the house layout allowed us to spread out during those times. Also, it was in a great location; close to downtown, shops, grocery stores and Culloden Battlefield.
The rooms are very basic but meet the needs of travelers. The free breakfast was a plus, and it was delicious. We had a lovely time visiting with one of the staff members while we were eating breakfast. There is plenty of parking on site and it is a quaint little hotel. Perfect location for accessing Clava Cairns and Culloden Battlefield.
