We enjoyed our stay at Bamboo River House so much that we decided to come back there to finish our 3 week trip in Costa Rica 8we stay 8 nights in total over two stayed)!
When you arrive you feel like you are part of a small community where you say hello to your neighbours.
Ryland is a great host, super nice, friendly and helpful.
We stayed in one of the big flats and it was super confortable and clean with all you need to cook yourself delicious meals.
The terrace is lovely and the hamac is super comfortable.
It is located on the river, 5 minutes by car from the centre of Dominical or 20 minutes walk.
We will definitly be back!!

Paradiselodge makes an exceptional stay…would highly recommend!
Spotlessly clean, super comfy large bed, great breakfast, lovely hot shower, amazing view over the valley with waterfall from the bed and incredibly welcoming hosts. Note there is a well equipped kitchenette to prepare meals, a terrace to relax & dine, a lovely pool to use at all times, sun beds & umbrellas, trails to explore the estate, remote secure gate & boundary. All this in a great position to explore by car the beautiful nearby beaches & Nauyaca waterfalls, which is next door. The hosts Annett, Fritz & Peter have an immense wealth of knowledge about the local area & will help with suggesting tours, restaurants & places of interest. 10/10 well done team ParadiseLodge! 🤩

Absolutely gorgeous jungle setting not far from Nauyaca Waterfalls! The breakfast was yummy but we were surprised to find out it wasnt included in the price of the lodging which wasnt cheap. We learned if you stay in the apartments breakfast is included and the pool is close but we had to pay and walk a ways to and from our rustic secluded Casa Romantica. A little warm; no a/c and the internet didnt work up there. The staff were attentive and helpful and put a lot of care into the meal and cleanliness of communal areas.

This place is great!
This place is great! They provide 4WD transportation in to the waterfall. There are clean bathrooms at the booking office, at the bottom of the hill where you park, and at the falls themselves. Their transport accommodates differently abled persons and there is a wide concrete path to the main falls. Very clean and pleasant. The drivers and other attendants really went out of their way for us.

Fantastic waterfalls!
Fantastic waterfalls! I highly recommend the Economic 4x4 tour down and back from the falls - it's a long trek and a variety of up and down hill sections. But, for the hikers it'd be a good trek with a great reward at end, but then you have the hike back too.

Absolutely beautiful, the walk is worth it, but there is a truck that can bring you up, and I think horses can get you there too with. tour, but the reward for a good 30 min hike was worth the soaking at the falls. You can just plonk in anywhere nd just bath in the mist if the falls or get some laps in since the swimming area was so big. Beautiful place.

Go early in the morning if you plan to take the walk.
Go early in the morning if you plan to take the walk. If you walk in a fair pace you might reach the waterfall first of all! We did! It was amazing to have the place all by yourself just for a while.
Good shoes are recomended!

Very forthcoming hosts, great location if you dig the area. Nauyaca waterfalls were among our favorite falls of our 3 week roadtrip thru CR.
If I return to this area, I'd def try to book one of the wooden villas in the upper area of the lodge. The horseback rising into sunset at playa hermosa was a great recommendation.
Very friendly and professional staff: Jason and his crew made us feel comfortable and welcome; very good breakfast! Good location right by the beach, nice restaurants and shops nearby. The entrance to Nauyaca waterfalls is 20 minutes by public bus.
Excellent hosts and very convenient location. Well equipped kitchen so you can prepare meals with ease! Their restaurant also serves great food (especially if you like spicy food). We spotted many birds, squirrels and iguanas in the garden. Our hosts helped us get a taxi to the Nauyaca waterfalls which were epic.
