We were welcomed by the host, shown into a spacious room with a large bathroom and a balcony. They had turned on the heating and there was hot water despite the power outages. The restaurant was not functioning at the time of our stay, but there were plenty of options close-by and a common area with a refrigerator and a microwave is available for use. Wifi is excellent when the power is on. All in all, gentle, honest people trying to navigate a very difficult time for their country. Visiting the country is a show of support and a much better way to help develop and rebuild Ukraine and strengthen morale than social media posts or donating old clothing no one needs.
