The 3-star inn has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. Staff on site can arrange airport transfers. Great host, terrific location with a tidy generous common room/kitchen. The facilities were wonderful, with two cosy pools and several lounge areas. Well decorated and comfortable. I loved the fact that the view from the pools didn't face any other houses or facilities, simply hills, trees and goats. The owners and staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. We are very happy we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Monte Gois. The food was well prepared and the environment was relaxing and cosy. Lots of families with little kids.
For us (my wife and me) it is the best hotel in Sines (3 times). We just park our car in their underground park (free of charge, in 2024 august) and walk to the Vasco da Gama beach and to the old vilage for dinning. It is very pleasent... My wife goes, every morning to the swiming pool to make her daily hidrogymnastics.
Isabel was their to meet us. She showed us everything and even took the trouble to walk us around Porto Covo and all that we needed to know (even where to go for dinner!). The pool is a great size, the teenagers loved it. Location - excellent, everything in walking distance, beach, town, supermarket.
We stayed for a whole week in July. The place is very peaceful, away from urban chaos, yet close enough to nearby cities of Sines, Vila Nova de Mil Fontes and Porto Covo. Beaches are about 15 minutes away. Rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and wi-fi available. Breakfast is well served and there's also dinner if you want to for only 20€. The facilites are amazing. Super tasteful and well decorated. There's a big pool with nice sun exposure. All in all, we loved to stay here and will definitely be coming back.
Pros: The singe bed I had was big and comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There is a fridge and heating in the room, which were useful. We also liked the little front garden space where we could do exercise in the morning. The place did the job for a good night sleep on our first day of the Caminho walk in Alentejo. The guest house also own a restaurant bar and we had a dinner there. The black pork steak was nice!
We really loved the overall concept and the rustically of the propriety. It felt like a time travel that took as bask to the beginning of the 20th century, but with all the comforts of today, such as good internet, swimming pool and a nice breakfast. Kids loved the animals and we loved the quietness of the place and the overall facilities offered.
This guest house is located at the edge of the west-facing wall of Marvao, a medieval fortress town. We had a balcony that overlooked the expansive valley and hills in the distance. Breathtaking. The hosts were friendly and answered our questions. Breakfast is included in the stay - we were able to order food items from a menu, and state the time to eat. Breakfast was set out on time and was just what we ordered. The host also offered to make reservations at local restaurants for dinner - much appreciated.
Delightful little boutique hotel in the charming village of Casével near the Alentejo town of Castro Verde. The service from the family that run the hotel is fantastic. We had a lovely, spacious room with very good wifi. The hotel is spotless and beautifully refurbished in a modern rustic style. There is a small swimming pool in the central patio and a terrace overlooking the rolling countryside. We were served an excellent dinner for a great price. The town is quiet and beautifully preserved. Another boutique gem in Portugal.
The location was perfect- a short walk to the main square. The grounds and house were beautiful! Our room was well appointed- good lighting , comfortable bed, room for luggage. The dining room for breakfast was beautiful. The innkeeper was very helpful. Loved it !
