But most of all, it was our host Malka and her husband, who were exceptionally kind and helpful. I wasn’t well during our stay and Malka was very caring and spent a lot of time arranging a doctor’s visit.

Located in Tilcara and with The Hill of Seven Colors reachable within 27 km, Hostal de Altura provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. The hostal is at a perfect location, on top of a hill looking over the multi-coloured mountains. The staff - all of them - are genuinely amazing. We initially booked 2 nights, but we both got sick so had to stay longer, and it was the perfect place to do so. The staff checked in on us multiple times a day to see if we needed anything or if they could do anything for us 🥹 for which we are forever grateful. The room was very very clean, and got cleaned every morning. The shower is hot and has good water pressure and the beds are very comfortable. As others already stated, this was also our best breakfast in 4 months of traveling through South America. There also is a cute rooftop terrace to chill and have breakfast while watching the beautiful mountains. 10/10 I would recommend everyone to stay here!

Featuring a panoramic view of the hills and a garden, Hosteria La Morada is a charming inn built in local material such as adobe and decorated with Andean themes. The room was cute and comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy and there was a daily basic cleaning service where they did a general tidy of the room. The location was great and we could easily access the town on foot. There was also plenty of street parking which was convenient. There was a stove with a kettle and a mini fridge.

Located in Maimará, 19 km from The Hill of Seven Colors, KUSY WAYRA provides accommodation with a garden and free private parking. At the inn, each room is fitted with a patio. The casita has a very special charm. It’s in the middle of Maimara village and you feel at home right after entering. It is very well furnished and refined. Looks like the pictures.
