Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
We only live a few miles away, but we had a great time being tourists in our own city. The room was incredible and had amazing views of the Providence skyline. I wish I'd carved out more time to enjoy the breathtaking lobby and had gotten dinner next door. I will definitely go back for a special occasion.
The Omni was next door to the arena where we were seeing a show, and a ten minute walk to the restaurant in Federal Hill where we had dinner. Very convenient.m and easily walkable. The room was spotless and we had a good view from the 14th floor.
We stayed in The Loft- which was incredibly spacious and great for hosting a couple extras for dinner/ games. We LOVED the space and the off-site concierge was very kind to make sure we got settled properly and gave us a place to store our bags after checkout.
So quaint and warm. Lovely decor and charming Queen Suite. Lovely breakfast area with delicious home baked scones and breads. The home made cinnamon swirl pancakes were Devine!
Ever staff member encountered, from front desk to shuttle driver to breakfast attendant, was pleasant and helpful. The hotel location, room furnishings, and services exceeded average Hampton Inn experiences.
Very good breakfast buffet. We walked to several restaurants for dinners. We also attended the Waterfire event across the street, which happened to be going on while we were there vacationing. We spent a day walking around the historic areas and thoroughly enjoyed it! We rented a car and drove to Newport several times.
We actually were on the go, so we mostly did a big lunch or early dinner. But the coffee drinks were great. Rooms were awesome, beds were phenomenal, staff was terrific.
Zander and Anna are lovely and so helpful.
The property is lovely!
You can walk anywhere for coffee, lunch or dinner.
I even attended a beautiful Latin mass at St. Mary's church down the street!
Highly recommend this place!
Christopher Dodge House is a traditional inn, with high ceilings, handsome public rooms, lots of stairs and a welcoming staff. They serve a generous breakfast in a handsome dining room where you will see and meet other guests. The Inn is a 15 minute walk from downtown Providence and the railroad station. It feels like a family business.
There was plenty of parking - Breakfast and dinner were nice. I really liked the location - I walked everywhere during my stay.
