The room was very small, however, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

We stayed at The Swan some years ago for a family wedding and we had fond memories of that stay. Our room faced the river and had a small balcony to stand out and "river watch"

From arrival to departure, you could not fault the staff at The Baskerville Arms. Everything was top notch, from the rooms with beautiful large bath towels, (such a difference to normal hotels) to the staff who were very attentive, informative and made you feel very welcome. The breakfast was fab too. My stay completed exceeded my expectations and I would have no hesitation in returning. Thank you for making my weekend even more special.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The property is stunning with no detail overlooked. Breakfast was fantastic and Francis in particular took wonderful care of us one evening over dinner on the Terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds. We will be back!
Overall, a good experience for the price point. The hotel is in good condition and have set up nicely for families in terms of their buffet style dinner / breakfast. It means that waiting for food is very short - important with hungry children. The dinner was £50 for two adults and two children (one under five free) and that seemed very good value given it was pretty decent quality and plenty of options. Nice swimming pool with access early enough to go before breakfast.
Perfect location, great pub. Very friendly staff at the pub and inn, held our bags there for us after we arrived from LHR until rooms were ready to check in. They provided bottled water, tea and coffee and a few snacks in the room.
It's a very beautiful hotel with beautiful decor. Great facilities including games / pool. Great buffet breakfast and buffet dinner and the 1705 restaurant was very nice. Family friendly. Worth having a car to travel round if using this as a base.
Fantastic hosts, thank you Colette and Kirsty. Staying here was a stay in a centuries old building that was magical. A warning about breakfast...we had a cut down version on the first morning and still could not eat lunch or dinner. Next day reduced further, same result. But if you like a scrumptious big breakfast, these ladies deliver.
Will definitely stay again, and will recommend to our travelling friends.
I have known it years once living nearby but as a simple venue a clean restaurant/bar in Datchet village it is also a historic inn..and it was a wedding venue.
