We ate great meals, all three in fact - Breakfast, lunch and dinner, and enjoyed them all. I mean, you have to give 5 stars to a restaurant that makes chocolate pizza out of a Double Decker! The staff ranged from those who really believe in their jobs to some who are somewhat more laid back, but they made us laugh so....

The staff were professional and hospitable - and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We visited in the winter and were welcomed with roaring log fires and candlelight. The dinner and breakfast and both were very good - and we are fussy markers.

Amazing friendly and welcoming pub, staff were so helpful from start to finish. In particular Kayleigh who looked after us she showed us to our room, mixed the perfect dark and stormy drink for me, helped us choose from the dinner menu as we couldn't decide as it was all fab. She was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Everything was outstanding. The room, the friendly service, the drinks, the dinner and the breakfast a great choice all freshly cooked 10/10 from us we will be back.

Very comfortable stay, upgraded to a suite, which was very good. Pub noise was ok and settled down promptly on closing. The Inn is on a main road, and given it was a hot evening, needing the windows open, there is a fair amount of traffic noise, but not much can be done about this, and less of a problem if the double glazed windows were closed. Breakfast very good and would recommend the "half English" option, just right.

Such friendly service from all staff. The bedroom was a reasonable size and the bed was super comfortable! The food was absolutely amazing here too, both dinner and breakfast. The perfect spot to stay and dine if you're in the area (we were there for one night visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury).

The Dog&Gun is a lovely small country hotel within 10 minutes driving distance to Stonehenge. We arrived there after 14hrs of traveling so after dinner we fell pretty much asleep asap. However food at the restaurant was exceptional, staff is friendly and helpful and money value is good. The suite was spacious, tidy and impeccable clean, beds very comfy a d just the right stopover on our way to Cornwall. Anytime again. Cheers

The staff were amazing, friendly, with a smile and helpful but not intrusive. The accommodation was beautifully restored old coaching inn retaining much of its charm and with three log burners was more than homely. The room (we had a superior) was decorated wonderfully, We were a little worried at first when looking at the menu and seeing pies and pizzas but the food was extremely good. We will be staying again
