We really enjoyed our stay at the Shoulder of Mutton . We were made most welcome and our bedroom was one if the nicest we have stayed in. It was really comfortable and characterful abd we loved the underfloor heating in thd bathroom. We enjoyed our evening mrals snd breakfast was beautifully cooked. The meals are served in a really characterful bar area.

We stayed in the inn which was cozy warm & welcoming. The bath was huge enough to have a good relaxing soak. We had an evening meal in the candle lit restaurant where the waiter went above & beyond to please his diners. The breakfast was outstanding & my husband just had to try my vegetarian black pudding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were friendly & approachable.

The bar, rooms and toilets were spotless. The staff were very friendly, polite, knowledgeable about the area and very polite and professional. We talked to management, bar staff and cleaners and they are all a credit to their employers. Hard working, diligent and friendly. They made us feel very welcome. There was a good menu. The location is excellent for the town. The service was first class. We will definitely return to this wonderful Inn again.

A fantastic little find. The pub and accommodation has been beautifully designed. The room was very clean and exceeding comfortable with an amazing roll top bath. Staff were very friendly and Sharon who served us at dinner and breakfast is a credit to the team. The food was very good quality and very tasty.

On arriving at the Inn we were allocated a room which didn't appear to have been cleaned. However, straight away the manager apologised and upgraded our room and also the housekeeper came to personally apologise regarding the error. The food in the evening was good..chefs recommendations were excellent. Breakfast was really good also. Knaresborough is an amazing place. Would definitely recommend The Knaresborough Inn too😊

Staff were outstanding esp the reception staff. Really really impressed with the hotel and will definitely stay in other "inns". The hotel interior decoration is 100% and feels authentic and modern at the same time. The beds were comfortable.

Very comfortable stay. Had an annexe double room. Very clean and quiet. Parking right outside. Food was great breakfast and we had drinks and dinner in the hotel too. Enjoyed our stay and would return.
