Location was as described. Breakfast was done well - as it was a weekday there were boxes of cereals and tea and coffee in thd room with frsh milk, yogurts, and cakes in a fridge downstairs. The room and ensuite were very clean and warm and decor and finish were good - in the room and the corridors/staircase etc

The majestic 17th-century Cromwell Hotel is in the centre of historic Banbury. It has limited free parking and free WiFi.

Friendly staff, especially the young man who served us at breakfast, which was cooked to order and fabulous. Brilliant range of pastries, fruit and other goodies too. We enjoyed a nice meal in the evening too. Room was good, bed was huge! Close to shops and restaurants yet only a few minutes drive from motorway.

Horse and Groom Inn, hotel in Banbury

Situated in Banbury and with Blenheim Palace reachable within 24 km, Horse and Groom Inn features a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

We didn't have Breakfast as we were heading off early to get to the Grand Prix. The staff were exceptional. They were super friendly and you could tell that they had a great place in the community. They were showing the England match in the bar, and even organised a fun competition to see if anyone could guess the full time score. We ordered some food that we had at the bar. It was tasty, good value and arrived quickly. We couldn't get the TV to work in the room and so we were quickly moved to another room without any problems. The room was right above the bar and so it was a little noisy, but it was clean and comfortable.

A lovely stay once again. We first came here in 2021 and was eager to come back. A quiet and idyllic location with plenty of nice country walks surrounding the area. The Food is great (I would recommend their Thermidor starter and chocolate mousse dessert) and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We will return.

We were disappointed that there was no longer afternoon tea, dinner, or a licensed bar as shown on some websites; when we mentioned this we felt the landlady was offended The daily room servicing did not include making the bed, just the duvet pulled up over the unkempt sheet The room and bathroom were clean and there was plenty of tea and coffee A lovely guest house if a little tired, and very convenient for visiting the Cotswolds

Really pretty guest house walking distance from the centre of Banbury. Free parking and a comfortable bed. I didn't have breakfast or dinner but it looked nice and busy so I would expect it was a good option.

Quality,& presentation of food ,honest integrity of owners ,who offered value & service that was once a traditional Innkeepers hallmark . This is a very beautiful small village if you are seeking peace & quiet , and the local residents seem to give support and appreciation ; for us ,this was a memorable two night visit ,thanks to the owners . Bernard and Paula .
