Located in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, just 50 km or 1 hour drive from Bratislava. Zaruby Resort is like an island in a green ocean of tranquility and natural beauty. Zaruby Resort is the perfect escape from the “real world” where you can forget about all the daily troubles and stress and find peace of mind while re:connecting with yourself and the beautiful nature of the Small Carpathians surrounding you! Whether you do this by: playing sports, doing team-building activities, cooking on an open fire, chilling in our pool or meditating under a tree, it is all there right under your nose and you don’t need to bring anything yourself. All necessary equipment is provided for. Zaruby has a capacity of 96 beds (17 cottages) Open all-year round, 2 common rooms (each room up to 25 people), professional kitchen, dining room for 100 people (can also be used as a conference room), sauna, 2 nearby meadows and a football/volleyball court.

Our comfort cottages have recently been freshly repainted in appealing light colors. Enjoy the comfort of brand new beds & mattresses. Feel free to use the new kitchen to prepare tasteful meals for the whole family or relax in the cozy living room while the beautiful sounds of nature are coming in through the window. With 2 floors in your cottage there is more than enough space and privacy for the whole family. Enjoy the peace and quiet from your own terrace while your kids are exploring the outdoors. Use one of our board or outdoor games to enjoy some quality time with your family. At Zaruby Resort there are no TVs or other modern distractions; it's all about quality family time and re:connecting! With the new kitchen inside your cottage, the choice is all yours; make a lovely family diner in the kitchen, grill on our indoor raclette set or outdoor BBQ, make your own goulash or opt for traditional Slovak ‘spekačky‘ on one of our open fireplaces. Whatever you choose, you are sure to have, not only have a delicious meal, but also an amazing experience. Go for a hike to the local store or order one of our indoor/outdoor cooking packages with locally-produced honest goods.

Neighbourhood information

The Little Carpathians, Slovakia‘s most underestimated mountain region offers plenty of possibilities for everybody‘s taste. And most of its treasures happen to be hidden in the deep forests surrounding Zaruby Resort. Just walk up the hill and within 20 minutes you reach Driny, the only cave open to public in the whole of West Slovakia. Continue for half an hour through beds of bears garlic and lush forest and you will spot the tower of Smolenice Castle, the famous landmark above the village of Smolenice. For those looking for more action the backland of Zaruby Resort offers great hiking and biking trails and several places for rock climbing. Are you up for it in summer to combine hike and swimming into one day trip? If so, we recommend you outdoor dam Bukova, which is 11 km from our resort. If you decide to go on hike, it will take you about 3 hours to go through the mountains, if you want to swim only, you can get there in 30 minutes by car. The surrounding of Malé Karpaty is also well known for its white wine Riesling and Veltlinske at Dolné Orešany or Doľany. A perfect wine expierence in just 15 minutes drive by car.
