This houseboat in the centre of Amsterdam features a waterside terrace. It is only 110 metres from the famous Rembrandt Square. Modern facilities including free Wi-Fi and an iPod docking station are provided. The living room in Rembrandt Square Boat overlooks the canal and includes locally themed art. In order to keep the natural balance we are very careful with the waste we produce and products we use. Recycling and separation of waste has been a habit for a decade, and at the houseboat we run a strict process of waste management and separate all of our garbage, reusing when possible and supporting local and national recycling initiatives with our wastes. We also offer unlimited drinking water of the highest quality, which in Amsterdam comes out of the tap. Most of that is river water that’s been filtered in the dunes, some 30 kilometers away. We provide reusable silverware and reusable shopping bags for doing groceries, and avoid as much as possible to buy products wrapped in plastic. The washing liquid is without added chemical perfume, yet very effective. • Soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided to guests through dispensers we refill to avoid the use of plastics. • The electricity and gas consumed from energy company Greenchoice is 100% renewable, to avoid nuclear or petroleum waste. We us an intelligent thermostat to prevent unnecessary heating. • Finally, the houseboat itself is a repurposed structure, being a metal vegetable barge built in 1947
Rembrandtplein is just 1 block away. You have easy access to the oldest part of town, the Jordaan isn't really that far either if you cut through and the Museumplein is also nearby. All are easy walks.
