My name is Ali. I was born into a nomadic family in a village in the south of Morocco, not far from Rissani town and the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi. With over 20 years of experience as a tourist guide for groups and private individuals from all over the world, I have a deep passion for sharing the beauty of my country. Together with my staff at my local tourist agency, we organize tours throughout Morocco. In 2019, my passion for my job led me to realize my dream: Amskou Nomad Camp. The name was suggested by my grandmother, who told me that "Amskou" is an ancient Berber word describing a beautiful and good place to settle—a place with soft, welcoming, and fertile ground where the tribe feels safe, lives well, and where animals grow strong and produce more milk. It’s a place that feels right. Amskou is our beautiful oasis in the desert, a place we dreamt of and found by learning from the wisdom of the ancient nomadic caravans. These nomadic people didn’t always choose the greenest or most comfortable place, but rather the right place.

Amskou Camp is located in Erg Chebbi, in front of the Merzouga sand dunes. We welcome you to a unique place where you can enjoy the magnificence of the desert and Berber hospitality in a secluded setting, far from the noise and stress of everyday life. It’s a place where you can relax your body and mind. The silence and nature will nourish your soul. The Sahara is our home, and we are proud of our Berber origins. We are eager to share our love for our land and traditions with you. Our luxury and spacious tents are inspired by Moroccan design, featuring comfortable extra-large beds and fully equipped bathrooms with showers and A/C heating. The camp includes a large tent restaurant where you can taste excellent Moroccan culinary specialties. We can also prepare meals to accommodate any dietary requirements. After dinner, we will entertain you with our traditional music around the bonfire as you await a magical night under the stars. We promise to do our best to make your experience in the Sahara Desert unique, exciting, and unforgettable, providing high-standard rooms and services for your comfort and luxury.
