The Petite Maison TA is a delightful studio apartment, located in a monumental historic building dating back to the early twentieth century which stands at the intersection of Via Duca degli Abruzzi with the central Via Federico Di Palma, exactly at the beginning of the pedestrian area, the beating heart of life socialite, cultural and shopping Tarantino. The central position in the Umbertino village allows you to reach on foot in just a few minutes all the major attractions of the city of the two seas: the Aragonese Castle, the old city with its Ipogei, the University, the Ponte Girevole, the National Archaeological Museum MArTa, the Arsenal of the Navy, and much more. Petite Maison TA, after a careful renovation, which has safeguarded the prestigious floor in cement tiles, looks like a refined mini apartment, located on the fourth and top floor served by a lift, finely furnished and comfortable. It offers its guests the advantages of an elegant independent residence in which to feel at home, available to also accommodate your pet, equipped with every comfort and useful accessory, making it perfect both for short visits and for prolonged stays.
The Borgo Umbertino was born where once was the Neapolis (new city), the Greek magno and the Roman Municipium. In ancient times there was only countryside here, very few houses and many small chapels. Then, around the XIV - XV centuries, the monastery of the Poor Clares (SS. Crucifix), the lazaretto - Carmine began to sprout where the pardons sprout in the Holy Week, the convent of S. Antonio and S. Francesco and from the XVIII century . the complex of S. Pasquale. This eastern area was thus kept until the 18th century, when Monsignor Giuseppe Capecelatro (Archbishop) erected his villa, bringing out numerous ancient Greek finds. After the Unification of Italy, based on the project of the Tarantino architect Davide Conversano, the Umbertino village underwent its actual development. And so, at the end of the 1800s buildings began to rise that recall Renaissance, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings, as can be seen in Via d’Aquino, Via di Palma, Corso Umberto, Via Pitagora.
