I would have never thought it was possible that the small Italian town with the unpronounceable name of Oggebbio would one day become my home. Born in Essen, I first moved to Cologne after graduating from high school. But the thirst for adventure drove me on and so I finally ended up in Los Angeles. For thirty years I enjoyed my life under palm trees, worked as a journalist for German media and rented out two rooms in my house with airbnb. Meeting people from all over the world was great fun and I even developed long-lasting friendships. During a trip to Lake Maggiore I feel in love, not with a handsome Italian, no, I fell in love with Villa Tramontana. I succumbed to its charm at first sight, even though the abandoned building first had to be awakened from its slumber. And once again I was gripped by a thirst for adventure. I packed my bags and moved to Oggebbio. For three years, with dedication and great respect for the centuries-old history of the villa, I created a new home with it here on the lake. And I look forward to bringing life back to the mighty stone walls and sharing the magic with many new friends.

Welcome to Ciao Lago a charming apartment with a magnificent view of the lake has been recently renovated to highlight the characteristics of a typical building in the area. With an exposed beam ceiling and antique decor with a modern twist. This cozy retreat features two bedrooms, a private bathroom, a living room with a small kitchen, a large terrace overlooking the lake, and a private parking space. It can comfortably accommodate four people, and there's an additional sofa bed for one.
