Nestled in a quaint location, surrounded by greens, Assam Villa is your home away from home. A 42-year-old Assam-type villa, we currently have three rooms and an open cafeteria serving delicious homestyle food, covering multi cuisines. We also have a pond in the backyard - the ducks swimming and quacking around every morning and evening is a sight to behold. We ensure you have a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay.
About the host A filmmaker, an advertising professional, an author, and a media entrepreneur, Rishi Paullah ventured into hospitality with Assam Villa by Storyweavers Retreat. Co-founded with Journalist and Media professional Pritisha Borthakur, Assam Villa is a treasure trove of memories for him as he had spent his childhood here with his grandparents and cousins. Every room has a tale to tell. Rishi loves meeting new people, exploring offbeat places, and feasting on no-frills food. His first love is chai and then follows poetry, storytelling, music -not in any particular order. With Assam Villa, he wants to offer people an experience that one would cherish for a long, long time, and be back again for more. The Chef, Bhoven is a gem of a person and is always ready to make you feel at home with the comfort of good food and hospitality.
About the neighborhood The property is in a safe silent residential neighborhood. There are lots of green trees and birds around. There's a stream that flows from the far end. A short trip around has tea gardens, and paddy fields. There are also pharmacies, departmental stores, educational institutions around. Overall, one can find the basic amenities in the locality. Near the property is the CSIR NEIST Research centre and the online Tea Auction Centre.
