The apartment is cosy and looked after with great care to have everything our guests need. The apartment has two rooms, each with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.There is a sofa bed in the living room, which serves as an extra bed. There is an open corridor front of the entrance with a view of common garden. We offer compliementary coffee and tea.
When we are on holiday, we always look for places where we can meet not only tourists, but also locals, so we can experience the real atmosphere of the area. This idea encouraged us to renovate our former home and transform it into a cosy place for travellers, providing insight into the lifestyle of Hungarians. If this is how you like to discover the specifics of a country, and you are not only curious about the crowded city centre, we look forward to welcoming you to our apartment.
Living in Buda is a worldview, says a famous Hungarian writer, perhaps for a reason. The Citymajor Apartment is located in a cosy area of Buda, surrounded by parks and within walking distance from the Castle District. You can easily access the popular sights of the city, as well as discover the hidden gems in the neighbourhood. Drink your morning coffee at the locals’ favourite bakery, try traditional Hungarian dishes at a restaurant with red-and-white checkered tablecloths, enjoy a delicious ice cream during your walk, or run with your dog in the shady park in the morning. Our best-loved bars serve great spritzers, Hungarian wines and cocktails on their terrace, with live music to enjoy. The nearby popular market with cheerful farmers offers great variety of Hungarian products to taste. Budapest largest metro and 24 hour tram line stops are a 5-minutes’ walk away (metro line 2 and tram line 4/6), giving easy access to many tourist attractions such as the Parliament, the Danube bank, the Chain Bridge, Heroes' Square, the spas, etc. If you are looking for a peaceful place to chill after exploring the busy city centre, you can get to the popular leisure and excursion destination János Hill in a few minutes by public transport, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the city from the Elizabeth Lookout Tower. Trains depart from the nearby railway station to Lake Balaton every hours. There are many shops, cafes, restaurants, a market, a tobacco shop, an ice cream and pastry shop, a non-stop pharmacy and two shopping malls in the area.
