The studios are located in my house and garden in the heart of Honfleur, an old fishing port at the mouth of the river Seine Just a short stroll from the Vieux Bassin and its many bars and restaurants. Despite the central location the studios are very quiet at night. The Attic Studio is a 24m2 room on the 3rd floor of the house with views over the courtyard garden and the rooftops of Honfleur. It is spacious and sunny with a private shower room, and a small, well equipped kitchen. There's a sofa bed for a third person at additional cost and a baby cot is available free of charge. The garden is at your disposal. The Garden Studio : on arrival you pass through the house entrance hall to discover the studio tucked away at the end of a courtyard garden. The only sounds you will hear are the singing of the birds at dawn and their early evening chatter. A modern spacious room with high ceilings, private shower room and a small well equipped kitchen. Its doors open onto a small private terrace, ideal for taking breakfast or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. There is a single bed for a third person at additional cost and a baby cot is available free of charge.

I am English and have lived in Honfleur for 27 years. My work studio, specialising in house plaques and signage, is on the ground floor of the house. I live on the first and second floors. Mornings, when possible, start with a walk on the beach.

Honfleur is a beautiful small town on the Seine estuary in Normandy, France. The studios are located in the heart of the town close to shops and restaurants. The picturesque 'Vieux Bassin' is a 2 minute walk away, the beach 10 minutes in the opposite direction. HONFLEUR AND THE REGION Honfleur has a superb market every Saturday selling seasonal fruIt and vegetables, local cheeses, oysters, country ham and free range poultry. It has a small organic market on Wednesday mornings and a brocante the first Sunday of every month. The local beach is a 10 minute walk away and the well known resorts of Trouville and Deauville are 20 minutes by car. The D Day landing beaches, the Mont Saint Michel and Monet's house at Giverny are all within a couple of hour's drive of Honfleur. A few kilometers inland is the lovely, gentle rolling countryside of the 'Pays d'Auge' famous for its cider and Calvados production and for local cheeses such as Livarot, Pont l'Evèque and Camembert.
