Set in the hippest east area of Taipei, Star Hostel Taipei East has transformed from an old residential house to modern Eco-friendly accommodation hosting travellers worldwide. Free WiFi is featured in all areas. Great location steps from MTR station, exceptionally clean everywhere. They thought of everything to make the guests comfortable. The shared bathroom even had blow dryers and curling irons available - I've never seen that in a hostel before. Wonderful breakfast with a varying menu every day. Helpful English-speaking staff. I'd recommend Star Hostel to anyone coming to Taipei and would 100% stay again if I had the chance.

It is only a 5-minute walk from Airport MRT Taipei Main Station (A1) and 7-minute walk from Taipei Main Station, where guest can easily take public transport to explore the city. Free Wi-Fi access is provided. Public area is very comfortable,enough space and quiet. Bed room(dorm) is also secured,private locker is very convenient. Breakfast is also delicious!

Opposite is a shopping mall called Xin Guang San Yue. Alight in Taipei Main Station and can go out from exit Z4 (Staircase), Z2 (Lift) or Exit M8 (Escalator). Overall the entire place is clean and comfortable. They have coin operated washing machines and dryer, if you do not want to bring too many clothes, can do laundry there. Wash NT20 per time, detergent NT10, Dryer NT10 10mins, NT20 for 30 mins. For female solo traveler will feel comfortable to stay here.

Great location for transportation or walking to 101 and shopping area. Good kitchen, small common areas.

The dorms are comfortable and the bathroom and toilet are nice and clean. Really recommend this one!

The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and some units at the hostel have a terrace. The location and staff was amazing! The room was a great size, clean and had a great layout. It has everything you need. There was even a snack night for trying Taiwanese snacks and meeting fellow travelers.

All guest rooms at the accommodation feature air conditioning and a safety deposit box. the place and bed is so good , there is so quiet even someone going up n down. place is clean. they provide the slippers , hairdryers which is warm preparation. if you are juz a cosy traveller, this is a perfect hostel to stay. i will be back if i have chance.
