I don't think you could find hosts that are more informative, welcoming and friendly than Pedro and Sara. The hostel has been smartly refurbished and everything is neat and spotlessly clean An included help yourself breakfast with tea or coffee is a wonderful bonus The hostel is well located for easy access from the station and for shops, cafes and restaurants in town. The walks in the surrounding hills are fantastic and we loved our mid walk olive oil and wine tasting at D'Origem We are 60 and not typical hostel users but for all of the above reasons, there is nowhere else we would consider when we return and we highly recommend Hostel Douro to everyone.
