Set in São Vicente and with Sao Vicente Beach reachable within 1.7 km, The Waves Hostel offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Phenomenal and one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! The owners are two brothers originally from Brazil and super nice! They're fluent in English, Portuguese, and probably other languages too. The hostel is as clean as it gets. They have all the nice simple touches like free good quality coffee, towels included, nice sheets, comfortable beds, private curtains for a privacy in single rooms, and many dehumidifies which is a must being literally on the beach. The hostel is cleaned well and often. The best part for me is it attracts quality guest's who are polite and not very noisy at night. The parking is plentiful and safe. The views for sunset are stunning. The beach vibe decorations are a nice touch. Would definitely stay again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND having a car if you stay here! It is quite remote compared to other cities on the island.

Boasting a garden, shared lounge, terrace and free WiFi, Jaca Hostel Porto da Cruz is set in Porto da Cruz, 100 metres from Alagoa Beach and 100 metres from Maiata Beach. The location was perfect, the living room was really nice. The pizza night and burger night were perfect for meeting new people. I had to work some days and the wifi was good enough for some video calls. I am very sad that i had to leave.

Machico old town exceeded our expectations. nicest town center of the trip. We stayed in the music room. v. cool. great nook for having a drink or coffee and watching the old town pedestrians.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel during our trip to Madeira! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms and facilities were spotless, and the atmosphere was peaceful, perfect for relaxation. The location was also good—convenient and close to everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Set in Prazeres, 25 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, Casa De Cha Prazeres offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. My husband and I came one day earlier and Felix receptionist comed late at night and found us place to stay in 5 minutes because we made mistake with reservations and that's not all. Accommodation was super comfortable and clean plus the nice green garden and comfortable beds. He prepares eggs by your choice when you arrive to breakfast so its always fresh and warm not like other hotels. It was amazing. On our last day we had to leave late at night and he made us sandwiches for our trip back home which was waiting for us on reception. Most proffesional and kind service you will ever get! We will definitely come back because host was best experience on this beautiful jungle island. Many thanks to Felix for making our stay so wonderful and welcoming 🙏 💖

Featuring a garden, bar and views of sea, Jaca Hostel Funchal is set in Funchal, 800 metres from Almirante Reis Beach. Look no further for hostel stays in Funchal. It is extremely clean, lovely staff, great beers for 1€ and my bedroom was so nice with a balcony. I would stay here again should I need a hostel stay close to everything in the city. Thank you guys, the auto check in and check out is a great touch too :)
