Best if you are planning for Tongariro trop. Make sure to talk to him when planning the itinerary. He gave us a lot of suggestions. Kitchen is well-equipped. The little garden also has a hammock. Really good for value.

Beautiful environment, useful facilities, … and most importantly: cleanliness. This was the cleanest hostel we’ve stayed at (we’ve been to many around the N island). Best spice of the place: Dave, his unique sense of humor and his lovely dog :)
