These units have been in family for 3 decades and currently undergoing a major refurb. Although newly completed we felt very welcome and even with a few snagging things we loved our stay as we felt we were part of building new new experience. The hostel is in a very convenient location just a few block from the bus station. I liked the beds as they are on the floor, no top bunks. The room is very spacious with lots of windows for goo ventilation. There is a large well equipped kitchen and a laundry room on site. As with all hostels I stayed in while in New Zealand, nothing is complimentary. No coffee, sugar, soap powder, towel or anything. You will pay a premium for any of these items.
