Definitely stay here if you are in Playa Gigante. Amazing views, nice spacious room, friendly staff and great spot to chill.

The owners Daniela & Tony went above and beyond for their guests to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything for our stay. Beds in the dorm were comfortable, bathroom was clean, everyone had a fan, drinking water provided, hammocks, a delicious affordable breakfast was also an option which I highly recommend! The location was close to the ferry port, it was very easy to explore other parts of the island by renting a scooter.

This hostel is a hidden gem in paradise. As soon as I got here I felt immediately relaxed. You feel in touch with nature. The room is very cozy as well and not too hot at night. Also, it’s really close to playa maderas.

La Urraca Loca Hostel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Balgue. Featuring barbecue facilities, the property is located within 12 km of Maderas Volcano. We had an amazing stay at La Urraca Loca. The location on the island is perfect for most activities. The hostel is an oasis of beautiful plants and the rooms are great. Also Daniel is very helpful and attentive. I’ve recommended this hostel to everyone who visits Ometepe since it is probably my favorite on in my two months in Central-America. Also shoutout to the lovely kitten Gnocchi (such a good name.. ;))

Set in San Juan del Sur, 70 metres from Nacascolo, the SPACE Jungle Oasis offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. super nice social hostel with great people and very good food. Sunday Funday was a blast, i absolutely recommend staying here for a few nights. They offer nice activities and the hostel itself is really beautiful

Hostel Julieta is set in Rivas, 33 km from Christ of the Mercy Nicaragua, and has a terrace. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. When I arrived I was tired and hungry because of my itinerary and no food on the flight. Rex, the owner, graciously cooked me a delicious meal and never charged for it! I was saved from going to sleep hungry. Julieta is always charming, knowledgable and informative with any questions. I will be using Hostal Julieta in the future whenever I need to pass through Rivas for my flights or visa runs.
