But what makes this riad unique is Hicham and Houda . They are so kind , so helpful, always with a smile on their face and making sure you are comfortable . I will definitely miss them . Ideally situated in the Fes El Bali district of Fès, BackHome Fez is situated 2.5 km from Royal Palace Fes, 400 metres from Batha Square and 600 metres from Medersa Bouanania. Everything, it's my first time in travelling by myself and I was a bit scared that I wouldn't like but honestly hard to top the experience, super welcoming people and staff, amazing vibe, if you need anything they help you out without an ounce of doubt. Food was great, conversations on the rooftop with the other guests,.... 10/10 and definitely recommend to stay with these guys

From the moment I arrived, Mohamed went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The location was perfect—close to everything yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The rooms were spotless, beds super comfortable, and the common areas had a cozy, friendly vibe that made it easy to meet fellow travelers. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety, and they even had local tips for every type of traveler. I’ve stayed in many hostels, but this one truly stands out for its warmth and hospitality. I can’t wait to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay. Located in Fès and with Royal Palace Fes reachable within 2.9 km, Funky Fes provides concierge services, rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. The property is in a nice neighborhood with many shops around to pick up necessities. Plus it is a very easy walk to all the tourist spots and some off the beaten path places. The rooms are clean with comfy beds and probably the best pillows I’ve had at a hostel. The same goes for the bathroom. Strong hot water, clean and spacious and attached to the room which is nice. Then the cherry on the cake is the people who work there; Leila and Malak with their friend and the volunteer make it such a lovely place to come back to after a stint of exploring. They are knowledgeable about the area, helpful beyond belief so far as helping me to extend,and offering tips on what to do and as well so fun(truly the people make the place !)

Omar is a great host and a very sweet person. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Fez :-)

There is no way of missing in such complicated old town area. Hostel manager is very earnest, and towards us quite sympathetic and kind. And concerning guidance, he showed us various options, and respecting our opinion, select economic way we take.
