We loved everything about our stay at the guesthouse in Yamatohama! Great guesthouse in a lovely village. Amazing nature, waterfalls, and beaches at Amami. Snorkeling, kayaking, and SUPing can be done in the bay area of Yamatohama (at the guesthouse). Really nice accommodation. Great breakfast—we loved the traditional Japanese chicken rice soup! We also highly recommend the BBQ at the guesthouse. This was by far our favorite guesthouse and location in Japan! The owner and staff are amazing. We miss you all!

I loved the welcoming of staff when I arrived. The cleanliness of the place, the white decor is really effective and makes it look beachy themed it’s nice and trendy. I loved that the staff helped me get to places I didn’t know tbh too. Decent fan in the pod I stayed in and the shared bathroom and sink was always cleaned.

The scooter hire was considerably affordable and a great way to get around the island. Highly recommended!
