Toyako Guest House Ponkotan is situated in Lake Toya, in the Toyako Onsen district. With free WiFi, this 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. The staff were great and really took the time to show me around and recommend me places to go to. They made sure there is a good guesthouse ambiance. It's a warm place and I'd love to go there again

Otaornai Backpacker's Hostel Morinoki is for free and independent travelers in Hokkaido Otaru. No good for small group or family. Amazing staff, amazing homecooked breakfast! Unbelievable view from the balkong. Very very cute dog and cat also is a plus for the stay. 10/10

Hostel Tomar is set in Furano, the hostel is 300 metres from Furano Station is 300 metres. Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Furano, like skiing. The staff were amazing. The facilities were super clean and spacious. And the bus stop at the entrance takes you straight to the mountain. Plenty of great spots to eat within a short walk. Will be back for sure.

This is a clean, well-run guesthouse with friendly staff and a café where you order on a machine - the café doesn't take cash but did accept my foreign card with no issues. This guesthouse is a great budget option compared to the spa hotels in Toyako Onsen. There's a list in the café of the onsens in the town that you can visit with details like prices and opening times. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Very helpful staff. I checked in beyond the check in times because of a flight delay but they helped me check in and have a pamphlet of information.
