Great price and always tidy, also a large kitchen, you can cook whatever your heart desires. The hostel itself has a very good and cozy atmosphere, there is a common area where you can meet other travelers in the evenings and have a good time. There is also a yoga area where yoga classes are held in the mornings and evenings. I felt like home.

Incredibly kind host and volunteers, will go out of their way to help you and generally there's a cozy home-like atmosphere. The place is quite new, so super tidy and neat, with a very well equipped kitchen! Got great recommendations for acitivities and had an overall wonderful stay. Can recommend!!

Arenal Sloth Hostel býður upp á herbergi í Fortuna, í innan við 5 km fjarlægð frá La Fortuna-fossinum og 5,4 km frá Kalambu-hverunum. This new hostel is perfect, very clean and quality/price super. The staff are super kind and Derrick and his cousin are so nice and helpful for everything. The room are very spacious with Ac and private bathroom . The dorm are clean and it was divided in tree rooms with 2 beds in each so I felt to be like in a private room because was not full. The kitchen are very clean too and very well organised, with two spacious and clean fridge, and the storage where to put your foods too. I was impressed by the many home appliances available, from the rice cooker, blender, water boiler, coffee machine with coffee for everyone, and in addition you also have salt, tea and other basic things that you could use it. You could have a laundry wash and dry for 8 dollars, not cheap as everything in Costa Rica, but you also have a place and soap where you can wash and hanging your clothes. 10 minutes by walk from the centre in a quiet area with a good restaurant just beside ( a friend tried and he really enjoyed. The common area whit sofa is very nice . 10 minutes from there you have the free spot “il Salto”. I really recommend.

Good location and very friendly host who provided great info and also tried to do self-organized trips to volcano if people at the hostel want to go together 👍 Simple but very nice pancake breakfast fruit included. Comfortable bed with curtain and fan. Homy common area with kitchen.

We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

I booked for two nights but ended up staying four and enjoyed every single day. Rooms are extremely cheap and you get so much in return. Breakfast is good bar is good the staffs is nice and love to chat and help. Having a bar near the pool is fantastic. Booking tours is convenient. We had a problem with one of the transfer companies who canceled the trip without notifying us. It was not the hotel’s fault but they still mitigated the problem as best they could by offering a free room and a breakfast, something that not everyone would do
