The hostel is located right on the beach, and had a great vibe from the start! We had some trouble locating it because it was dark and google maps wasn’t helpful. We were running late but the two sisters who own the house waited up for us and made us feel right at home. If you like falling asleep listening to the ocean, under a huge dream catcher this is the place for you! Breakfast is fresh, and the coffee delicious. The artisan shop is right there with lots of creative designs by the sisters. I even met their mother. Such a beautiful family stay.

This is a delightful, relaxing home from home. Leandra (owner), Rodrigo, and the lady who made our tasty breakfast, were all genuinely lovely, caring and attentive. The place is beautifully designed, clean and very comfortable. There's a terrific roof terrace with sun loungers and hammocks. It's right next to the beach, so you can walk out wearing your swimming gear, with no footwear on, and go straight into the warm, Caribbean water. If you would like to cook for yourself, there's a well-equipped, shared kitchen, which you can use to make lunches and dinners. There's a small fridge, and a TV with Netflix in the bedroom. You can get a cheap bus on the beach to go to a local supermarket or to go into the city. We were glad we decided to stay here rather than somewhere in the city centre.

Hostal Casa de las Americas features air-conditioned rooms in the Getsemani district of Cartagena de Indias. The property is situated 2.2 km from Cartagena's Walls, 2.6 km from Cartagena's Gold... Very friendly and courteous staff. David and Matty were exceptionally great offfering suggestions about everything one needed. If and when I return to Cartagena, I will undoubtedly stay there. Highly recommended.

Straight on there. Dorm was spacious and private "capsules" were nice. Some privacy for you. Breakfast is basic, but good also.
