Situated in Ghent, 2 km from Ghent Christmas Market, Treck Hostel has barbecue facilities and a terrace. Attractively situated in the Brugse Poort-Rooigem district, this hostel offers a shared lounge. Facilities include a children"s playground and free WiFi is available. It was an original stay, indoor caravan camping. Our 5 year old loved it and asked to come and stay 10 nights :) It was clean and with all the facilities you might need, even more. Many games and playground. Great location, 15-20 min walking to downtown. Easy to find street parking and not expensive (3,5EUR for 24h). Nice breakfast included in the price.

Ghent Christmas Market is 700 metres from De Draecke Hostel, while Design Museum Ghent is 200 metres from the property. The city is quite large and contains lot's of crossings, however there is a connection directly from the Train station (bus station near the train station), therefore it is manageable. Should you wish to take the train into the city, there is a stop not far from the hotel and you can get a shared city card for certain number of travels. Breakfast is the standard one with toasts, tea/coffee, therefore I would not call it rich, but is good to consider to start the day. In the city there are options to eat the breakfast for sure, however most points of sale focus on chocolate, waffles and sweets in general. At the reception you can get the city map that helps a lot to move around the city, which is another positive of this place.

Board games are available at the hostel and guests can enjoy kayak rental. The location can’t be beat. The staff were very welcoming.

Dormitory rooms at KaBa Hostel come with lockers and shared bathroom facilities. Some rooms also feature a TV and a private bathroom. Guests have access to the property"s garden with a terrace. I don't usually give 10's, but Kaba Hostel deserves even more, completely over exceeding my expectations! Probably the best ever hostel I've been to. Nice and polite staff (probably the owner), the entire hostel was cleaner than my home :) Rooms are nice, every room has it's own bathroom, clean as a dentist office :) The shared place is excellent, has stereo, cable TV, sofas, several tables. The yard is nice and neat, same goes for the kitchen as well. Distance is 10 min walk to the centre tops, has several shops and restaurants for a late night meal. All in all, definitely recommending!
