There is a bar n kitchen to order food n drink or a separate kitchen to cook your own meals.

The host, Sebastian is a super cool laid back guy. Will give you all the recommendations and more. Very social environment. Great place to meet other travelers. I stayed at a cheaper hostel in the area which was also nice, but this was a more social environment.

Rancho Grande Hostel is a large ranch-style hostel with stunning views of the Patagonian Mountains. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The hostel has great facilities you can use after check out (e.g. showers if you’re coming back after a hike). We were moved next door to a different hotel, but it was equally nice (and quiet). They also provide lunch boxes for 8,000 pesos each.

Hostel Danny is set in El Calafate, 5 km from Argentinean Lake and 800 metres from Regional Museum. Danny is the kindest host we’ve ever met. This is his family business, and he runs it together with his wife and brother. They truly make you feel at home. They are extremely accommodating with everything from special requests to holding your luggage, organising day trips to the glaciers, etc. Sweetest people. Also the location is perfect, next to the Main Street with all the restaurants etc
