We really liked the personal touch and also the friendly and helpful owner and staff. The quality of the breakfast (option Western or Chinese), as well as the coffee and evening bar is very unique for China - especially for this place. Eric and Sammie were super helpful with everything - including helping us to book the right tours and advising us on what not to do :-) right opposite the hotel you can rent an e-scooter (diandongche in Chinese) which is very cheap and you can get around very easily. The bamboo rafting tour you can reach by foot in around 15'. Dinner options you also have in walking distance - we loved the food right when you leave the hotel, you go left and the first little restaurant on the left side had amazing food.
we also did the sunrise tour to Xianggong mountain and the owner helped us to book a private driver. it was worth getting up early but be aware that there are lots of people there also wanting to see the sunset (even in the off-season there were many people). But they make sure you are early enough to get a good spot for watching the sunrise and getting to take great pictures as well.
We really enjoyed our time there. The international touch and the friendly hosts made it special!

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful! Rooms are clean, beds are good and there is a pool! Across the hostel is also a really good and cheap restaurant
A perfect hostel: social common area, great location, clean rooms...
There are numerous activities offered and the shared homemade dinners are amazing. I made friends immediately upon arrival and spent basically my entire first night there singing Taylor Swift songs with the hostel owner :)
100% recommend!
Basically everything about this hostel is fantastic: the staff are extremely friendly and helpful; the facilities are great; there is a good social area; there is a small pool(!); the rooms are clean and comfortable, with a curtain for each bed; it is very cheap; laundry facilities are free; the view is awesome; the area is quiet as it is slightly out of town.
This is the best hostel I've stayed in China! It's perfect for internationals - it's really clean, comfy bed, the staff and owner is super friendly and good in english and it's very central.
I Will definitely stay here again.
Love the hostel and people!
Clean, very good dorm and common area, good activity offers, extremly friendly and helpful staff, swimming pool, garden, fantastic view, nice people, laundry for free.!
I think it's one of the best hostels I've been to, really amazing :)
Fantastically well organised and thoughtfully made hostel. All the comforts of a hotel but also with the social environment of a hostel. Great location. Great optional social events. Very clean and friendly. Highly recommended.
The hostel was in a beautiful location, so peaceful. The bike hire was very cheap and free after 5pm. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful at organising onwards travel.
I saw the reviews and almost didn't give this place a chance but eventually decided to go anyway, and I'm glad I did. The hostel is nothing like what the bad reviews say. The rooms were tidy, the linens were clean, and the best were comfortable. The rooms had AC and privacy curtains. I'm really not sure what some people expect from a cheap youth hostel because as far as hostels go across Asia, this one was decent.
