The owner is a gentleman. He was really helpful, engaging and kind. The best kind of uncle.
Please go to Pu Jei Bakery down the street as our host advised. After 2pm and get the specialty bread. It’s like a big afternoon croissant with salty butter on the outside and delicate soft bread inside.
Also there is a cold green milk drink with the massive tapioca. It is delicious.
We stayed in room 207 and it is my most favourite room in two months of travelling around . The AC is cold the bed is big and the feeling is very colonial Japanese.

This is wonderfully stylish accommodation in an intimate and quiet little alleyway (Hi to the neighbour ladies) off a main street leading directly to the train station. The decor is tremendous and the cleanliness of everything, especially the bathroom, is outstanding. The check-in involves messages and a password for the building and a separate one for the room, which would have been impossible without either a local mobile connection or roaming data, but it all worked fine.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
