This old-style guest house has a quiet riverside location although The Brahmaputra is more like sea ! Handy for the older side of the city and a 150 rupee tuktuk from railway station. Manos and his staff were always willing to help - above and beyond. We had two very pleasant breakfasts and the area has a few quality eateries with local cuisine.

Quiet clean room in quiet location. Plenty of restaurant options, rickshaws, etc. nearby. Close to the cablecar ("ropeway" in local parlance) across the river. Taciturn but helpful manager. Walking distance from the railway station (with light luggage). Watching the local geese talking a walk and blocking the traffic around the corner is a sight not to be missed!!
