The island with the iconic, ochre yellow cabins in the middle of the Reine fjord, The island have been in the care of the Gylseth family for many generations. The room was held in a traditional style, but very cozy. We loved to possibility to have wood for the fireplace, which made everything even nicer.

Located at the foot of Vågakallen mountain, these traditional rorbuer fisherman’s cottages in the village of Kalle come with free WiFi. We had a wonderful time at Kalle i Lofoten. We loved the sauna and cooling of in the nearby beach (literally 10 seconds away from the sauna). We even managed to see the northern lights from the beach. Just like in the pictures! Very recommendable. In fact, we have already recommended it to some of our friends.

Offering a barbecue and views of the sea, Hammerstad Camping is set in Svolvær in the Nordland Region. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. The place is lovely and the owners are friendly. The camping place has a few larger huts, several tiny ones and spots for tents and caravans. The larger houses are very nice and clean with big windows and great views. While they are intended for five, we barely fit in and there were only four of us. The stairs to the second floor are extremely steep (it creates lovely space but for some people it may not be possible to climb). The location is just perfect.
