The owner is super kind and gave us recommendations on restaurants and where to buy a birthday cake which made our stay even more amazing because we celebrated the birthday of my girlfriend on the last day. We had breakfast outside in the terrace with flowers in the background. The kitchen had everything. The stove is with induction, and if you never used induction before, you might need a little learning. One pan was having trouble working on it, but all others worked. There is an extra heater if you stay during colder periods. The beds were beautiful with decorating pillows, all clean. The owner lives on top of the house on another floor, but we didn't notice anything.

I'm unsure if this is always the case, but it was a pleasant surprise. The host was responsive and gave us some good tips on where to eat and places to check out. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended for a third night.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 7.4 km from Quinta da Regaleira. We recently spent 5 nights at Casa de São José as a group of 4 friends and were very pleased with our stay. The host was very kind and responsive, and the house is beautiful and spacious, with a thoughtful layout that separates night and day spaces. Everything we needed was available, including a fully equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed the quiet garden and pool. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The location was ideal for us to visit the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, with some routes at walking distance from the house itself. We had a rental car, but even without one, an Uber to Sintra centre is a few euros, so the location is quite convenient. Overall, Casa de São José provided a wonderful base for our activities, and we would highly recommend it!
