I was there at a end of a hurricane so it was windy and a bit rainy and didn't get to lounge in/around the pool. Large parking space. You will need a car because there aren't any stores in walking distance. I DEFINITELY book this place when I come back.

This villa has everything one could ask for. The location is unbelievable, the beach is right in front of it, you can see the ocean from the bedroom and listen to the oceans waves while falling asleep. For solo travelers it might be too much space, but if you have the spare money I would highly recommend staying here. All the rooms are beautifully designed, open and welcoming and with much daylight. It was spotless clean when I arrived and they even offered to clean during my stay. Also, the owners helped me a lot with arriving and planning my trip, since I was alone and had no car – they even booked taxis for me and made sure everything was perfect! Very very friendly, nice and helpful. This was by far the best place I ever stayed at on any of my journeys and I will definitely come back, as it made me fall in love with Ishigaki island even more. Thank you for everything!

Located in Ishigaki Island, 800 metres from Hirakubo Beach and 1.1 km from Kuura Beach, HoshinoHana ~ Beach house~ offers barbecue facilities and air conditioning. Absolutely super clean gorgeous house, in the middle of the jungle but still walking distance (3 minutes!!!) to the beach and next to the road, with very easy access to the city centre. There are great cafes 10-15 minutes’ drive. A haven of peace, little paradise, we were so happy here, I can’t recommend this place enough. The owners are so kind and wonderful people, they will make sure you have everything you need and offer recommendations in the area. Fully stocked kitchen. Truly the best experience.

Located very close to everything in downtown Ishigaki, including many restaurants, the port, and cafes and shops. It was so clean, as if we were the first people to stay there. The amenities were amazing, including all of the bath products. The pajamas were a comfortable and the tub was great. The outside porch is planted up nicely and a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. The tatami room was perfect for chilling out and doing yoga as well.
